This is Rayne, one of the main characters in my vampire story. And as you can see the guy is arrogant as hell. He dates back to the ancient Minoian culture on the Isle of Crete. If you want to know more here a little description from Atys, when he first meets Rayne.I looked up. The man I saw at that moment was without any doubt the most handsome guy I had ever seen. I guessed he was about 25 years old and I immediately took notice of the fact he was 5 cm taller than I was, which kind of worked on my nerves. His clean-shaven, oblong face was framed by a waterfall of bright red hair, falling down till his waist like spinned fire. Exactly that marvellous colour, made the contrast with his unnaturally gleaming eyes all the more striking. They were from an intriguing dark kind of blue, almost indigo, with a circle of blazing turquoise around the pupil. Altogether it gave his look a depth of centuries, while at the same time it added a youthful vividness to his eyes. He had a muscular, lithe body and seemed to be not ashamed for it, cause not counting a number of very expensive looking silver jewels, his upper body was bare. His black leather trousers were open at the outside following the whole length of his legs. The two parts were held together by a crosswise plaited lace. When he was walking around me, with a self-satisfied grin on his face, I was literally breathless for a moment. A giant tattoo of a phoenix covered the entire length of his spine. I had never looked upon such a marvellous piece of body paint in my entire life. The largest part of the drawing consisted of black lines, varying in thickness, but it was accented at some well chosen spots with sparks of bright orange and blood red, creating a dazzling effect on his moon pale skin. A small tuft of turquoise appeared to jump out of the drawing like a glittering sapphire in glowing lava and formed the eye of the mythical bird. A strange detail that made me suspect the design was specially made for him alone. It was fitting too nicely together to be a coincidence, those colours and all. After having had a good look at me, he turned around elegantly on his heels and held out a ringed, well shaped hand. “Rayne.”The tattoo is to found as a seperate drawing in my gallery but I haven't coloured it yet. This drawing was made early 2004.
