Happy Anniversary, Elfwood! Most people who are veterans of the internet have a particular site or fourm where they go to chill out, relax, and feel at home. For me, that place is Elfwood. This site has provided me with almost everything I know about art, from fellow members, from tutorials, from comments on my images. Countless times Elfwood has provided me with laughter, inspiration, and even tears. There are some who say that things 'inside computers' aren't as real as real life; I disagree. In the six or so years I have known and visited Elfwood it has become as real to me as any other place I know. This May is Elfwood's tenth birthday. Here's to another ten years, at least! To Thomas Abrahamsson, to Monica Christensen, to Mirar, to Nico Danell, to Matt Summers, to Bridgette Alsbury, to Peter Bortas, to Henrik Wallin, to the wonderful mods, to the hard-working Elfwood Review Board, and finally to all the artists and writers, my deepest thanks for making this place come to life. 3d render in Poser, postwork in Corel Photopaint, 70+ hours, poem reads "Dark and dank,/to bright and fair/Dungeon deep/to mountain lair/The forest,/it lies everywhere//From Hell’s caverns/to stars above/Bitter hatred and/sweetest love/Our woods/are thus crafted of//Drink, now,/to its dreams and fears/Its artists and writers/these ten years/To us, to fantasy,/to Elfwood-- Cheers!"
