Braem the Phoenix

Braem is from my own pattern that I made for art. He is made from tie-dyed cotton, a sparkly gold fabric and a gold and brown fabric. His head and tail have a vareity of feathers in them. Braem is actually a puppet that can nodded its head but I refuse to make anymore of them because they are too difficult and fiddly. I am planning to make a partner for Braem - this time a black phoenix. The eyes are clear buttons painted with ceramic pens. You may not be able to see but they are a dark green.

Sokataeda: He Really Should Have Kept Walking

This first piece is really an introduction to the morally corrupt, murderous little creature Sokataeda is - and an absolute delight to write about. NOTE: This is an example of my bizarre sense of humour. I beg your forgiveness now!

Don't Ride the Trains at Night

This story was wriiten for the Herscher Project'Urban Legends'. It is about an urban legend from where I live in Australia. This one had me afraid of trains for quite awhile though this version has been carried on into the fantasy realm (of course).

Two Little Blackbirds

This poem was written for the Herscher Project 17: 'The Hunters and the Hunted'. Written in blank verse with only ten syllables per line which was quite tricky. I won't say anymore or risk giving it all away!

Night to Day

A poem I scribbled out when I considered joining Elfwood

Old Mother

This story was inspired by the recent Herscher Project Edition #15 - Aging, Ascents and Entropies. This is the story of an aging hippocampus, Auld Mother.
