In 2004, I just randomly started creating bear characters...from that, I developed a sketchy story in my mind:
There are the old gods, and a new Goddess has been born to usher in a new time/era. The old gods are locked into teddy bear bodies, because the new Goddess is growing up thinking she is a human (so that she better understands what it is like!). Well, the old gods have only faint memories, only remember their name, but their personalities--and bodies, somewhat--represent what they were gods *of.*
I had this idea that every once in a while--at night, at sunrise, at midnight, or full moon, etc--that the old gods could turn into thier former human-like bodies.
And besides trying to teach this new Goddess the ways of the world, the bears/old gods run into some problems, like becoming friends/lovers? when in their past roles they were enemies. Example: Ribbons/Riavis = angel (good) falling in love with/attached to _______ who is god of war, blood etc.
Well, this character here is Buprilla, or Bubbles in bear form...she is goddess of spring, childhood, that kind of thing. :D
P.s. It sounds like I have all this figured out, but I really don't. I need help writing stories. Anyone??
