Paul Butler is a graphic artist from New Jersey. I've done a number of private commissioned pieces, and has had limited publication in some magazines (like Inquest), some gaming company publications and the like, mostly smaller press. After a large number of years of doing black and white artwork, I am exploring color and the concept of painting, mostly in gouache but just started trying out oils. Almost all of my work is pretty small (I work small and detailed, rather than large and loose). My work has been exhibited at WorldCon, PhilCon, Origins, and others, and I was finalist in the L. Ron Hubbard Illustrators of the Future Contest (something I would encourage everybody here to enter - write me if you want info). Specializing in Fantasy art, primarily figurative art and some beasties, I am mostly self-taught with occasional courses taken along the way in H.S. and college. I presently work at Rutgers, The State University of New Jersey and live in Collingswood, NJ in the United States with my wife and many small critters.
