Three fairly old Nira based characters of mine, the anthropomorphic teenage cat sisters, Kate (the dark red head) and Tabitha (the blue haired one) with the younger preteen greenman Tregandric, together in an offbeat romantic situation. I'm a sucker for such things. Tregandric is rather stoic and serious person most of the time, keeping to himself and rarely taking for long amounts of time. He's also a great hand-to-hand combatant and a fierce fighter despite his age. But he does have the weakness of getting very nervous in close quarters around attractive girls. And its exposed a lot around Kate and Tabitha Marnita, two Nikojins (the name for anthro / humanoid cat people in Nira) who become unwanted traveling companions to the wandering green lad. Kate, a free spirit with a hellion streak, and the much more calm and major bookworm younger sister Tabitha grew up as slaves under human rule in village after their parents died do to the long standing conflict between the Kingdom of Manoss and Harpy Empire (see Villains of Nira for more info). They finally gain freedom around their late teens when an iron clad ogre named Jakku appeared and destroyed their masters one morning. The two only other survivors of the attack, a human widow named Jessica Raymond and her 7 year old boy Joey, were always sympathetic to the girls' lot and acted as their only support during their 10 year long servitude. Together, the four leave the devastated town and become an even stronger surrogate family unit. When the sisters got older, and with Mrs. Raymond's blessing, they decided to go on a trip to a foreign land where Nekojins were more plentiful, since Manoss exterminated or sent many of them fleeing from their part of the Nira world. Its during their travel dose Kate and Tabitha meet up with Tregandric who unlike them has a family, but greemen are known for leaving the nest at early ages and willingly so. Tregandric is no exception, but has a greater wanderlust then most his kin. His quiet and moody attitude makes him mostly a mystery to the sisters and this leads them to do all sorts of things to get him to open up more. Even to these kinds of wacky extremes, which reflects their unofficial crush for the beloved green boy. Needless to say, Tregandric sometimes finds this strong fondness for him...rather terrifying.
