Look at what I caught in the garden!

I was skipping through my garden when I was struck the by beauty of the moment. Hundreds of iridescent dragonflies danced above the flowers. They encircled me and I was caught in a whirlwind of tiny flittering wings. I reached a hand out and one settled lightly into my palm. I gently cupped my hands over the creature and sat down on our garden swing to take a closer look. I opened my hands and there sat a tiny little girl with dragonfly wings! 'My name is Madilyn and I'm a fairy that lives in this garden' she said. She winked, gave my thumb a hug and flew away. This is a sketch portrait of my niece as a fairy. I used the imbedded photo for the pose and idea. The photo was from the summer of 2001. She's a bit older, so I reflected that in the drawing. This is just but the first draft of this piece. Nevermind the lines of text running on the back of the paper. Isn't she the cutest??? Look at other photos on Madilyn's Page.

Extraordinarily cheesy vampire poem. Yeah, I went through that kind of phase back in high school. *grin*

Ghosts

I'm a bit of a ghost freak, myself. I've studied paranormal activities and stuff. I'm also very into Psychology and how the mind thinks and the psyche of humanity in general. I think this was written in reference to how love is trivialized and ultimately mistaken for that Deadly Sin, Lust. It also alludes to what happens when an unstable person is scorned...

Flower God (Poem)

This was written as an assignment for my creative writing group. The fun part is that every word had to come from Magnetic Poetry kits! It's written in a vampiric sort of sense...
