This was a Halloween present for my boyfriend, Jay. Isn't he hot? ...Especially with those yummy elf ears. XD Halloween is *definitely* his holiday, if you couldn't tell. He's not supposed to be a vampire, though I can see a resemblance in this picture...he's more like a wandering modern warrior guy. Uhh...yeah. Just go with it! I used a Spike (from Cowboy Bebop) pose for reference, but, of course, changed lots about it (like his jacket, pants, boots, orientation of head, and more). I really like how his jacket, expression, and pose turned out. He looks so laid-back and...I guess accustomed to his surroundings, which was what I was going for. It's almost cocky, but not annoyingly so...just in a cute way. I also like the miniscule (but still fun) details, like the cat, the spider, the rat, and the pumpkins. Can you find 'em all? I'm pretty proud of the cobblestone sidewalk and nifty street lamp too. But LORD ALMIGHTY my scanner ate the details! Lots of the shadows and linework are faint, or even absent, and I tried to fix it in PSP, but to no avail. It just ended up looking crappier. Bah humbug! But Happy Halloween, all the same. Hope you still enjoy it. Medium: pencil in my sketchbook; Time to complete: mm, two hours? Yeah.
