As the revenant disappeared nonchalantly into the darkness, Griffin clutched at the wound on his left arm and snarled under his breath. He had taken a step forward to pursue the creature, when Max slipped his arm around Griffin's waist.
'Let it go Griffin,' he muttered under his breath. 'Let him go.'
Griffin exhaled sharply, and they both glared at the quickly fading shadow of the creature that had attacked them.
'He'll pay for that,' Max assured Griffin to subdue his anger. 'He'll get what's coming to him.'
