This lovely drawing was done April 2009 and had the following description:"Spring time is upon us and I find that my garden has an unusual new guest. The timid and elegant Yellow Swallow-Tailed Butterdragon, is a rare sight indeed. It feeds on insects and the nectar of flowers and it is a magnificent sight to watch the little hunter swish through the flowerbeds. Its call is a high pitched : 'Thrrrri! Thrrrri! Riiiiir, riiiiir, riiiiir! ' easily heard above the song of local birds. The Yellow Swallow-Tailed Butterdragon is a wanderer and only found in Denmark in april and may. Seeing as it prefers wet, damp surroundings, sighting this magnificent creature is all the more exciting. "I still love it immensely, but when I found that I had nearly copied another artists dragon-butterflies I stopped making more, worried that they might be seen as unoriginal ripoffs.
