Rising Moon

It sorta goes with the sunset pic, and I really wanted to put them up at the same time, but this guy took so long... ah well. His name is Ivan, and he became king of the where-ever country when he was fourteen after his father died in the war. His mum did when he was twelve of an unknown (to me...) disease, and so he was on his own pretty early, and he ended up more than a little arrogant, though he is GENERALLY well-meaning. He won't listen to anyone, except Rowan who is his best friend and knew him before his life started to suck. Rowan was the only one who could talk him down when Ivan started on some tirade, the only one who could get away with telling him off when he was being a prat, which happened alot. 'Course, then Rowan died. Bwahahaha! He looks a bit like a blond Snape to me, which wasn't on purpose. He's supposed to have a sort of hawk-like profile, but I guess that's mostly a euphemism for 'hooked nose.' I like this picture alot more than Rowan's, mainly because the scan came out much better. Ivan's very pale and my scanner seems to like light colors better, so only the sky got funky, which was much easier to fix. The stars look weird, almost like oads of fireflies or something, but I do like the big one in the moon. I know stars can't be in the moon like that, but I have become obsessed with drawing them there, I even have started to develope a specific layout for the other stars around there, if you'll check out some of my other more recent night skies (all of which are in fanart, I believe.) I also managed to make what I consider to be very decent-looking marble, which was very hard. The moon is supposed to symbolize that he survived after Rowan, after the 'sunset,' if that's not too sappy. Rowan was the type of character who couldn't live in the night, while Ivan will adapt. I think. I dunno, I might kill him too, later.
