Why do I write, why do I draw ... good question. I think, therefore I am. All this thinking, most of it day-dreaming, has to be expressed somehow. Flip through my engineering notebooks and you'll find far more dragons, swords, elves, and dwarves than electrical circuits, engineering related text, or legal notes. NPCs and notes for my roleplaying games get written in e-mails, to myself, as I program control systems, HMIs, PLCs, Drives, servos, or DCSs. Ever since I learned to read, first with Burgess Books, and later with Tolkien (3rd Grade) I couldn't stop fantasizing about ... well almost everything but elves and horses dominate my early dreams. Later girls, I mean women, crept into my dreams too and pretty soon I was dreaming about elven women. Funny how that works. Anyhow, my favorite subjects, in writing, art, and role playing games are now all female. I find them, and particularly my wife, inspiring. I have brodened my range of races however. Now elves no longer dominate my work, humans, halfelves, faries, halflings, nymphs, centars find their way into my artwork almost as often as elves. My other big motivator is role playing games, particularly Dungeons & Dragons. Seems that much of my art is NPC or character portraits.
