Here's a piece of sheer *expression* that came out of nowheres and demanded to be drawn. A rather cultured-looking gryphon discusses the feather he's holding -and the fate of it's owner- with just a little too much glee. It's not easy playing pride politics in a race of vicious flying carnivores, but he seems to be quite on top of it. This is the kind of character who has no redeeming qualities, is smooth but utterly arrogant, and who invariably gets killed in the end. Sometimes it's by the shadowy Ultimate Enemy they were serving, but more often by the heroes, like a sort of stepping stone for the Good Guys before they face off with The Big Boss... which is too bad, because I always *like* the suave, ruthless general-type guys. People don't seem to put as much imagination into their main heroes, and the head of the Army of Darkness is no fun - you've got to go to the sidekicks or evil subordinates for real personality. And that's my off-topic rant for this picture. Thank you, come again.
