I have been drawing since I could hold a pencil. Flagara is my pen name, or my "dragon name" as I sometimes call it. She is the character of my alter-ego, my muse, and my creativity. I love to fall asleep to music, and let it paint my dreams. Damien Rice, Andrew Bird, and Martha Weinright are just a few of the many voices that I love. Folk music and Irish old songs really light up my spirit, so I also listen to much of that genre. A lot of my inspiration comes from classical music and literature--as a cellist, music is a big part of my life. More of my ideas come from nature, however, than anything else. I've always been an animal lover and an advocate of nature. I do volunteer work at a raptor rehabilitation center, working with sick and injured birds of prey. It's like a dream. I am finding my way, weaving my dream, drawing throughout the journey. There really are a lot of fantastic artists here in elfwood, so please look around and enjoy.
