Victoria's Pegasus (or the Victory Pegasus) is the eleventh in a series of artwork I did for my AP art portfolio four years ago. The main idea of the paintings in this series was a contrast between style and subject. The former being of 19th century biological and informative type with details on classification and general anatomy; the latter being of purely fanastical and imaginative origin with emphasis on the unreal and mythical. The series is done in watercolour and black ink pen. My second favorite in the series... I still like the wings and how they look like they might work.
