This one started as a doodle right before I went to work. Then when I came home the same day and had nothing to do so I began colouring it. And so it went; I worked on it before I went to work and in the evenings afterwards. And after a couple of days the little doodle that really wasn’t meant to be anything had become one of my most worked pieces. Unfortunately just because of that, it is made on an ordinary paper; which is far too thin. In fact I think the drawing contains of more paint than paper. Which means one can hardly touch it without breaking it.
I often do that, start with something small that turns out rather big. Bad Ida ”slaps herself on the cheek”.
Oh almost forgot: the reason that I called it deerdragon isn’t that I mixed a dragon and a deer, the dragons body simply looked deerisch, I was tired of my old way of doing bodies and tried something new.
