This was the cover for my Tuatha De Danaan book. I made it by cutting out shapes from collograph cardboard and coating it in shellac liquid. It kept me up all night. I wanted to do something intricate and ancient but I didn't think I should even attempt to do a Celtic border, on both covers, using a cheap scalpel, until I looked at the Book of Kells and thought, 'what the heck'. The Tuatha De Danaan were reported to have lived on Ireland in ancient times. Some called them elves or fae, some called them gods.
