I really wanted to do something inspired by opals so I did his Dreikon. The main test here was making the fur rainbow coloured. I wanted rainbow wings and tail. Trouble is using that many colours tends to make the colours muddy if you colour over the top of them with a lot of different colours. I finally got the hang of it and I think it worked very well. Her base fur is white but it shines a pearlescant blue/mauve in the light. I tried to convey that too and I think it worked pretty well. I wanted to show the fur as white with the shaded bits in colour. This wasn't her original pose either, I was gunna do a facing down pose but it would have been too close to Moss's pose so I made her facing up instead. And the background is an oval, minimalistic in gold with shiny purple gems around it. I make jewellery and use gemstones so Opal was pretty much inspired by the colours and shapes of the gemstone beads I use. I actually managed to draw something that could be described as beautiful. I find this hard to do at the best of times since I mainly draw creepy/weird/cartoony/funny but never cute or pretty. So it's a little different.
