This picture was totally inspired by the Reduced Shakespeare Company (Sigh. I love those guys). Anyways, I was watching the Complete Works of William Shakespeare (abridged) DVD and I got to the part with Hamlet, where they get audience involvement and I decided that I wanted to draw something Reduce Shakespeare Company related. So basically, in the show, they pull up this person from the audience to be Ophelia and scream, and they decide to workshop it by using the whole audience by making them voice her inner monologue, to give her some depth. The audience says 'Maybe, maybe not...', 'Get thee to a nunnery!', 'Paint an inch thick!', and 'Cut the crap Hamlet, my biological clock is ticking and I want babies NOW!' (Pardon my langauge...But I think you'll live...). I used the approximation of the Ophelia costume and the wig with the dreds... And I made her be screaming (Shush...I know it looks like her mouth is just open....)because that's what she's doing. Now, you maybe thinking, 'She has no face, that's cheating!' I can back myself up, and beware, this is DEEP! Since The Complete Works of William Shakespeare (abridged) is a show they have different audience members and so my version of Ophelia has assimilated all of their personality quirks until her face fell off. The end.
