So it's been awhile since I've done a piece solely for me and me alone. About time I took the break to do it. I'm quite pleased with it actually. At first I thought the face stood out too much against the body, but it's actually reflecting the youthful, yet strong look I wanted. I tried a new style.. well, it's not really "new", but it is new to you guys because I've not posted anything like it. I think because of working with the studio, I've wanted to start posting my better quality things online. So I probably plan to revamp my DeviantART gallery and kick it up a knotch in skills so that maybe I can pull in some more commissions while I'm at it that I'd really enjoy doing and have something a lot better to show clients from out of town/state/country that I plan to do freelance work with what I can do without having to meet with them and drag a portfolio with the work I don't have on my DA account. Still, even if someone were to look at a revamped gallery, they'd still only get the minimized quality because I refuse to post my full resolution/high DPI pictures on the web for someone to hardcopy and make prints of. I save the higher quality versions for my portfolio, and in case someone wants a print. Anyways, onto this picture.. Not much to say. She's an archer. I had fun doing this piece actually. I actually used the pen tool for this... Hardly any line work is used in it.. every now and then you can see a dark line for an outline where I need the boldness. Uhm.. I don't know what else to say. My mom hasn't seen it yet, but she came in when I had only done the skin and was working on the hair.. so she'll be in for a surprise when she sees that I decided to ditch the original hair color scheme. I won't tell you what it was gonna be though. Might spoil a future picture.
