This was my last schoolwork I did before the summer. The subject for the drawing was "a shadow" so I thought up the way to stuff my dragon in the picture. Muhaha. When I think about it, I have done surprizingly few real works about my purple dragon, I just have a bad habit to scribble him from time to time. So, it is my dragon Spyro (pay no attention to the name, he has nothing to do with the videogame) walking in the woods, a ghost of his real form behind him. But which one is the shadow: the ghostly transparent large reptile, or the small, puny and depressed creature in the front? I know, I can´t draw humanoids, argh. The boy looks a bit too young an I think his head´s a bit too big, but otherwise I´m pretty happy with it. It could be better, but I still like how it looks. The transparent dragon was hard to do because I had no real idea how to make the effect work, but turned out good enough. Done with charcoal, black&white chalk pastels, graphite pencil and some of colored pencils on large paper. I did his eyes with pencil, so you can see them "glow" a bit when lighting is right. I had to make the picture much smaller to fit it in EW, so see a bit larger version in here http://spyrre.deviantart.com/art/Dragons-shadow-50136905 .
