Oneirohelminthes pentacula is a semi-pelagic vermoidean vascularozoan, in that, when it feeds, it undulates its body to swim into the water column, dragging its long, sticky tentacles all the way. After it has eaten its fill from licking the captured plankters from its tentacles, O. pentacula returns to the sea floor to rest. Here, the diademaspid Haemocyclopes manticheiros swims by while an O. pentacula is resting.
