In every story I write these days I end up with a rather cunning character called Thyla. This one is a formidable warrior with natural magic abilities. She doesn't like using magic, though, because when she was a little girl her father was a powerful sorcerer and he caused the death of most of her family. Immediately after she ran away from him she found herself addicted to sorcery and had an almighty struggle to beat it. She believes sorcery is in her blood and doesn't trust her magic to turn out good every time. Her pose in this pic is a little stiff, but there you go.
