Look Into My Eye

This is a painting of a mythical creature idea I had whilst thinking one day.   I'm thinking of a name like "Soul Pilferer", but that doesn't sound good enough really.  Any ideas?  It transforms into a "familiar" sort of animal to lure you back to its lair.    The thing that tips you off is he always has one bright blue eye.  Once a human looks into it they are instantly bound to the creature.  They would follow it even if it were off a cliff.  This one lures humans back to a secluded area in the woods.  Within the water runs the souls of those he has already trapped.  These souls help replenish his lifeforce, thus letting him live for all eternity, or until he runs out of humans.  His true form has never really been seen, but is rumored to be so ghastly that the only way he can get near anyone is indeed to transform.  This one prefers that of a horse.  If you look you can see the tell tale signs, but don't look to close or else you may be lured in as well.   16x20 acrylic 40+ hours   Enjoy!
