This was originally supposed to be an illustration for 'The Invisible Man' for a callendar, but I didn't win the contest. Sad, but not unexpected. They were upset that he wasn't invisible enough. I was kind of angry with that particular criticism. In the story, he wears a coat and stuff all the time to hide that he is invisible. What was I supposed to do, turn in a blank peice of paper? (He IS there, he's just INVISIBLE!) Anyway, it certainly doesn't HAVE to be the invisible man, just some coat wearing stranger approaching an Inn late one snowy evening. Done in gauche on 12x18 watercolor paper.
