"Return With Me" In all of my artwork, I, Susan Schroder, am the artist and photographer. All elements of my work are original to me.I do not use stock photography or stock art.I am the photographer for all background elements and also the models in the image. The fantasy effects that are not photographic are digitally painted by me, as well. As an artist, I usually have some kind of story in mind when I create my images. I rarely share those interpretations as I truly enjoy it when people imagine their own stories when they see my artwork. But I am making an exception with this piece: Here is their tale....A love story to warm winter's chill. Time passes and the seasons drift slowly within the Realms.Winter returns wrapping all in a cold snowy blanket.Activity slows as nature falls into a renewing slumber. The commotion of birds and creatures has mellowed in thesoftness of the snowfall. The river's rush is silenced by thick ice, a frozen monument of Winter's grip. There is still one last goodbye still to be said between the worlds of Faerie and Humans. The river Naiad must return to her frozen home to rest throughout winter and awaitthe coming Spring. Yet there is one, a mortal man, who wishes her to stay in his world to share in love and life each day never to be parted again. But her watery home beckons, calling with it's own urgency. As the frozen river fractures one final time, it allows only minutes for her to return to the rushing waters beneath. Will she slip back into the icy depths alone or pull him with her, breathing a river spirits life back into him? Or could she forever leave her Faerie Realms to live a mortal life?He feels the icy cold as the frost envelops her. He looks into her eyes and kisses her while her lips are still red. She is flooded with warmth as the cold subsides and her heart beats strong. Could they survive the differences of their worlds? Who speaks the whispered plea, "Return with Me...."
