This is a picture done in April of 2001 using mechanical pencil on 8(1/2)*11 paper. It is essentially a detailed study of one of the races that appear in the world of my book. The piece was originally titled 'Shadow Races #1: Goblins and Hobgoblins'. The Goblin was on the left (sketched in lightly) and the Hobgoblin on the right. However, I've decided to change the names of some of the creatures to avoid too many associations with Tolkein and/or D&D. (After all, I actually started writing my book before I had encountered either, and the names originally came from mythology I had encountered). The new names for these creatures, at least for now, are Khoblinhs and Hobkhoblinhs. Artist's Challenge: You should be able to find my symbol in this pic, but it isn't easy!
