Unfinished (The Red Dragon)

Even though it's unfinished, I consider this to be my 'Masterpiece'. When it's done, it will most certainly be the most beautiful piece of artwork I've ever done. I seem to have managed to capture motion and emotion all at once along with some nice, fine details. The picture was started in 98 or 99 I believe. It's done using a mechanical pencil on 8(1/2)*11 paper (as is most of my work) The scene is from the climax of my first book, when the young hero encounters a creature that has been haunting his dreams since he was a child. Aided by a group of friends and some magic that he doesn't understand yet, he goes into battle against the beast. Why? Well, since I haven't written that part yet, I'm not entirely certain why. Of course, there's so much he doesn't yet understand about this creature, or why it's been haunting his dreams, or what its goals are... or more mysterious still... who's behind this awful monster. Artist's Challenge: As this picture isn't done yet, y symbol doesn't appear in this picture yet. But, when it is finished, I plan to have it appear twice or more...
