Language Stone

I thought it was about time I put one of my sculptures up here :) This is a recent carving I did from Brazilian soapstone. Not that big, but its still weighs about ten pounds :). Its a cube with four faces and in each face's mouth are characters from a language I'm working on. Its supposed to be an object from one of the cultures in my stories -- a language stone that carries their alphabet/root words and the classifications that structure their cosmology system.

And The Sky Bled Tears Like Diamonds

A real oldie, but it features the environmentalist Cephrine Tannike who I'm planning of rejuvenating for a new story sometime next year.

This is the prelude to a comic/graphic novel I was toying with and the visuals are a reflection of that origin. Final scene is perhaps a bit cliche, but I wrote this before 'The Ring' and that movie ripped it off Poltergeist in any case.
