"Ayne took a break from studing to stare out of the window of his cell in the semenary tower, watching the ranks of soilders preforming drills on the far off plain." It's a bit sketchy, but I really like this as it gets across what I was trying to do.  I'm trying to get into the habit of putting back grounds on my drawings rather than just doing a floating figures.  One of a series that I'm trying to do with a picture for each of my main characters in thier natural habitat as it were.  Ayne is a Satyrnite with prophetic powers, so he's kept locked up in a tower most of the time and away from his friends, poor dear.  Done in mechanical pencil with a slight blur added on after scanning as the scanner left it a little rough.
