I could spend a very long time explaining the Egyptian Mythology behind Ta-Nit but I'll keep it simple. Ta-Nit is the Egyptian Goddess of all Egyptian Gods and Goddess'. Well, she's actually not really a she, or a he, but I like to say She because she's credited for being the first Egyptian Goddess and Mother to Ra. (everyone should know who he is.) Anyhow, she's considered the creator and usually thought of as a War Goddess and associated with water. This is my depiction of her-who-is-neither-she-nor-he. Construction Notes: Acrylic and Glitter on canvas pressboard 10" x 12". I know the hands are sort of masculine looking but I was trying to keep it partly with traditional Egyptian sqaurishness. The pyramid was the most difficult and the clouds are horrible but I have yet to master that art.
