Experimenting different painting methods. I don't have more time to work on this, but thought I'd show its rough stage anyway ^_^. I'm gonna try to work on it here and there as I get time. Must practice painting better-rendered people. 1.5 hours, Photoshop CS2About:This is Talimyro, or Tal for short, main character in my NaNoWriMo novel, UnWritten. He's (yes, I know, girly-boy) a mute that has been uncovering the secrets to his people's disappearance. He is among a shrinking population of all that remains of his people, the Aeteli, and only he knows how to tap into the ancient power that Aeteli were entrusted with. As such, he's become target by both sides in a global war of conquest. Fueled by his own (somewhat selfish) desire to know the secrets of history, Talimyro is willing to manipulate those around him for his goals. PS; Just since it's not obvious, the only reason Talimyro hasn't and won't use the power he is capable of is because it requires speech. Being mute is a rare disability only found in his people in which few born with it live to adulthood. It is a death sentence because of the Aeteli body relying heavily on the energy they are internally connected through speech. The energy, or power, regulates their temperature and immune system. It is a reason why the Aeteli have died off; lack of knowing led to their own doom. Talimyro only survived so long because he, as a child, was adopted by a human merchant, friend of one who knew his parents, in a desperate bargain to give him a chance at life. The human, named Calidar Rielgar, took Talimyro to Soluna, a kingdom located in a temperate climate. By giving him medication and shots designed to help his weak immune system and kept indoors in a well-lit, well-heated house, Calidar saved him.Grown up, Talimyro now feels ambitious and more daring. The restrictions lead him to making irrational decisions, his seclusion keeps him more selfish and less inclined to trust others (unless they show signs of giving something he wants or needs). He was raised knowing someone was always going to be there to keep him safe and protected. He never had to rely on himself to survive.I suck at summaries, but hey, at least you know a bit of Talimyro and his role in the story!
