This is one picture I consider a masterpiece. I had not drawn anything in over a year. Then, one day, while at work I set out to draw a baby Griffin hatching in my hands. I started with just drawing my hands, one at a time, in between incoming calls. Do you have any idea how hard it is to draw your own right hand when you're right handed in between irate customers?! When I was done with that, I set another sheet of paper over the top to draw the little cartoony Griffin I call Mahrentt, who up until this point had only been an image in my head. I did it on a seperate sheet because if I had to do any erasing I didn't want to screw up the hands. Fortunately, the baby Griff came out practically perfect on the first try! The only real trouble spot I had was on the right side egg shell. For some reason, that just didn't want to cooperate. Anyways, all that done, I scanned both images, and merged them together in Photoshop resulting in the final image you see here. Here's the really amazing part, the whole thing, start to finish, only took about three days- with only the Photoshop part not being done while I was on the clock. I've had some concern about this being a Neopet. He is NOT. Neopets may have a critter they call an Eyrie. I may play Neopets and have an Eyrie called Mahrentt, but this is NOT one. Look at the wings. Very different from an Eyrie's. Copyright infringement my ascii!
Chapter One is completely re-written. Same basic thing happens. Froykell takes over. It's just better now. Ignore the strange indentation (or lack thereof). I blame Word. And I refuse to fight with it any longer.
