Surfing Charybdis

I was having fun with some Photoshop effects when I came up with the whirl pool. I added a surfer from a picture I took of a friend's trophy. (Given to him by his wife, Jim wiped out in grand style while on his Honeymoon and lost his trunks, hence the nude surfer award for most creative dismount.) I think the actual statue she found is from the comic book character Silver Surfer. OK, a guy surfing a whirlpool, it needed something and since I've been told I don't have enough monsters here I added Scylla and Charybdis. Scylla was the many headed monster who snatched Odysseus's men as he tried to pass the whirlpool Charybdis also a monster, Charybdis was originally a sea nymph the daughter of Poseidon and Gia who was changed into a whirlpool by Zeus after flooding cities to create Posieden's underwater kingdom. (that explains the eye in the center of the whirlpool) In the story Odysseus's ship was destroyed nothing remained except the mast and the keel. I suppose I'd have a temper also if someone had turned me into a whirlpool. No story to go with the picture I'm afraid. Photoshop and Illustrator (the monster)
