This picture was done in three pieces which is why the lines are a bit heavier on the male then the two women - kind of annoyed me - but in the end I like the overall piece - These characters are Gwyn (belonging to me), Grecie (Belonging to my friend Evie) and Priadan (Belonging to my husband Johny)trength, Love and Honor are big parts of a Knights' life .. their creed if you will. I put the words under each knight, but it didn't go -just- with that particular knight (ie. because it says Strength under Gwyn it doesn't mean that she ONLY has strength and not the other two) .. however I chose the word that the knight represented most Strength - Gwyn's inner strength is very strong - she is not as physically strong as some, but her strength is very deep. Not only her inner strength, but the strength in her beliefs. To go along with this - Gwyn's strength is the love she shares with Priadan, as well as the love she feels for the kingdom and the people in it - this is also part of her strength. And finally, she honors that strength in herself - rather then trying to hide it behind the 'usual' female wiles and simpering attitude. That's why I chose strength of Gwyn. Love - Grecie is full of love - perhaps not the romantic love that some may think, but the love of life and everything in it. She may be impetuous, but it's because she loves life so much and loves her independance and the ability TOO speak her mind. Love is Grecie's strength. WIthout it she wouldn't be who she is. And though she may be impetuous, it's the love of the knighthood that keeps her from going TOO far - which is also honor. That's why I chose love for Grecie. Honor - Priadan is the embodiment of honor - a deffinition of 'honor' is "a keen sense of ethical contduct - integrity" Above everything, Priadan puts honor first. Honor in his word, honor in the way he fights and trains - everything. That is a large part of his strength - his honor to uphold all that the knighthood teaches and bring others (squires) to that ideal. And though the next part might be that he 'loves honor' it's really that he honors those he loves - be it Gwyn (whom he loves with all his heart), or Grecie (as his squire), his brothers in arms or the King he serves. In everything he does he shows honor - That's why I chose honor for Priadan.
