This is one I got inspired by seeing Chinese art. I used to not like Chinese style dragons that much but I've also been seeing some that I really like. This is the first one I ever did, so please be gentle on me and not too critical. heehee I know that usually, phoenixes don't have black on them but I thought he would be kind of unique with two heads and some black feathers to contrast the other bright ones. Eastern dragons are so different from Western dragons, in the aspect that they almost always represent good fortune and a lot of times look like they're smiling. Also, usually no wings and don't breath fire. But this one makes up for his lack of flying by floating and sliding down rainbows with his sinuous body. And he's trying to catch that phoenix's fire. He's jealous the phoenix can breath fire and he can't! The Chinese hexogram characters were an extra touch I added, like the caligraphy seen on a lot of Chinese watercolor paintings. They each mean things such as Inner Truth, Revolution(molting..the phoenix resurrecting), Peace and Family. If you'd like to know each one's exact meanings, e-mail me and I'll tell you.
