Juolukka the Winged Cow

Isn't she a beauty! Wings are drawn from scratch with computer, other parts are based on a photo. Her name means 'Bog whortleberry' in Finnish. Juolukka is a shy and lowly member of her herd, which pastures the green plain between the Fangs, a pair of sharpfigured rocks. She has long, but feminine horns. She is tall for a cow (5ft 4in) but delicate, a graceful flyer and a tender mother. She has calved four times, bringing birth for a heifling (Petal) and three little bulls. A moment ago Juolukka heard a strange noise and lifted her head to see and hear better. She is ready to quick take-off in case she smells a predator or the rest of herd gets too nervous. Wings were replaced by new ones - I prefer these. Photo is by me, wings are manipulated from a pencil-drawing by me.
