This is a work in progress. I'm drawing her for a friend of mine at work who is really into Diablo 2. I've also drawn her so that hopefully I can use her later as a D&D character. She is based on the lore of Greek Amazons. Indeed, she is even lacking a right breast (easier to tell in the earlier pictures). The shirt she is wearing is based upon what an ancient Greek woman might wear. Her pants/skirt is my own devising, going with an Egyptian theme. The sandals are based off of Roman foot soldiers' boots (yes, I found one source refering to them as boots because of how sturdy they were). Her armor design is straight out of my head (using a hodge podge of what other cultures have already used, I'm sure). The parts that would need covering is based on a little research I did into Amazons. If she stood up, her backside would not be protected, but according to my research, Amazons battled on horseback (bareback, even). While she is by no means historically correct, I tried to keep her as true to her warrior nature as I could. I will be adding her weapons (bow, quiver, knives). I had considered adding a horse, but that isn't turning out to well. Finally, I hope to actually work out a background for her (she's supposed to be tracking). Anyhoo, I've rambled enough. Drawing in pencils and (C) to me.
