These are probably two of the first characters I ever designed for my collection of Oddities. The centaur is Bronwyn. He belongs to a type of centaur tribe--hence the tattooes. The woman is Avarielle. She belongs to a village on the outskirts of the woods Bronwyn lives in and belongs to. What's so unique about these two? Well, it's simple... In Bronwyn's tribe, it's unspoken for a centaur to fall in love with a woman. In Avarielle's case, it's not so much unspoken as pure amusement. A villager never ceases to take the chance to mock the relationship a centaur and a woman might have, or lack thereof. Bronwyn's weeping because he knows it can never be, and still his heart belongs to Avarielle. Avarielle is crying, but still smiling because she loves Bronwyn as much as she knows tomorrow's another day and time changes everything.
