I was commissioned by a woman to do the potraits of her children. She is the mother of two boys and two girls, so I thought I could draw them in a Narnia-based theme, since they would fit perfectly with the Pevensie children from "the Lion, the Witch and the Wardrobe" and "Prince Caspian". These are the portraits for the first two kids (potrayed as Peter and Susan, since they are the eldest). I've already begun sketching the second pair, which will include the same frame design, but of course with the other two kids (yeah, you guessed, Edmund and Lucy). I've done many black and white portraits lately, so in order to avoid feeling like I was repeating myself, I decided to add some color details. I think it makes the drawing look more unique and also brings out the actual portraits. The drawings were made with normal 2H and HB pencils, and the color details with regular colour pencils. After I was finished, I felt like the drawing was still lacking some detail. I always feel that way and I know I need to stop myself or I would spend years and years making more details and I would never finish any work (besides, I have to look after my classes at the university haha).
