Here is a painting I did a while ago. It is made in watercolour. This is Gondolin, a elven city that is hidden in a valley in the encricling mountains. In the Silmarillion, it is the house of the high elf Turgon and his people. I did a down-looking view, as if the person watching the painting was posed upon the mountains. That way, the houses and the gardens were made visible. However, I don't feel it worked very well. I've been a little disatisfied with this painting since I finished it.
