Savior, not saved OR Unsaved OR Fallen Too Soon. I have three titles for this piece that I was actually inspired to do after watching the movie Troy (it's about Achilles and the Trojan Horse, it's really good). I drew this almost exactly a year ago (painted April 2007.) If you don't understand, well here it goes. No matter how self-explanatory my titles are, I always feel the need to explain the exact conditions... There was a war between the Night Elves and the Humans. Nak'Shakri, a female Night Elf warrior, fought alongside her people. All felt the need to protect their patriot. (Don't judge me on my crappy choice of words.) Nak'Shakri hadn't a family, other than her proud father and caring, loving mother. The battle, to the Elves' advantage, was almost won. But the near-victory made a lot of the gleeful Night Elves surrestimate themselves, thinking the battle had already been won. Nak'Shakri was one of them. The day that was to be their last day of fighting, Nak'Shakri fell. She died slowly, thinking about how foolish she had been. How she had let her parents down. How now she would never see the results of their people's victory. Painted with Reeves Fine Water Colours on Strathmore Watercolor cold press. In other words, watercolors on watercolor paper.   c) Danica Beverley Wells, 2008
