Her whole body was shaking slightly, her heart racing with excitment. She prodded me with her small dipping beak and bent her head ever so slightly, her black eyes peering over my shoulder and her dainty small foxy ears sticking straight up. Her tail twitched back and forth impatiently while she restlessly sat on her haunches, waiting for me to move to see my newest invention. I laughed and pushed my work towards her. "Any good?" I asked. She prowled around it like a wolf cornering her sheep. I sat in silence for a full five minutes while she prodded it with her talons and poked it with her beak. Now it was my turn to tilt my head. Her eyes never blinking, giving my creation her full scrutiny. Finally she cocked her head again: It was puzzling her! I smiled widely and watched her, her tail whisking the sawdust of the floor everywhich way. She glared at me, and then, with a deft flick of her beak, she solved the puzzle. She turned and gave me a smug grin, then sauntered off to the kitchen to gloat, purring all the way.
