Yo! This is another oil. I did it for fun, it's kinda a remake of a bad pen pic I did awhile ago of these chicken-rabbits I came up with. There's two species, a large, riding rabbit, yes with wings and feathered tail completing it, and then there are smaller ones small enough to fit sitting in your hands cupped together. Yes, they lay eggs and this would have to be a male...I haven't decided if these are called bucks and doe's or cock's and hen's. ....I mistakenly thought for a few minutes that rabbits were jacks and jennys like mules but...they aren't. Unfortunatley that led me to call it for a short period of time to call a male one of these a hybrid of jack and cock...or a jock. I giggled about it too...alas it wasn't meant to be. Mebbe I'll come up with the female version, but their feathers are very birght and splashy. Their red-brown fur and bright emerald to azure feathers look pretty good, aye? This is, by the way, one of the smaller versions, he's got to be nibbling on grass or something. Ishould have done better anatomically but I'd hoped it wasn't too horrible to put up. He does look alert though, perhaps his meal will be cut short by a surprise attack. They're quite vulnerable...the only thing chicken genes did for these rabbits was make them smaller and give them annoying bird like claws on their paws. Took about six hours, oil on canvas board.
