I first came to Elfwood in 1995, when art was still nothing more to me than a hobby and a way to unwind. Having grown up in Eastern Europe, I never received any official art training, since back then the career of an artist was viewed as a sure road to failure and starvation. I never thought I'd be doing this professionally, but in 2001 all that changed. I quit my day job and became a full-time illustrator, and have been at it ever since. I would be lying if I said being a part of Elfwood had nothing to do with that. It was here that I received the help and support I needed to make me believe I could do it, after all.So, here's to everyone who have been supportive of me and my work through the years - THANK YOU! I may not be able to reply to every single comment and e-mail, but I do greatly appreciate every single one of them.Unfortunately... It seems I am no longer able to showcase my most recent work on Elfwood. Every single piece I submitted this past year was rejected for being "non-genre". And while I admit I honestly don't understand how a female warrior brandishing a sword while flying through the air is not fantasy, there's little I can do about the mods' decisions. My personal website and my Deviant Art gallery are the most up-to-date sources if you're looking for some recent work and news. My site also has all the latest info on books, prints, commissions and the usage of my images, so if you're interested in seeing more, or have questions, feel free to hop over once you're done with this here gallery. :) With that out of the way, here are a few tidbits about me... I'm just your regular escapist with a deep-rooted love for everything fantastic. I'm 33, and live in a crazy li'l place called New York City with my husband, our two young sons, and two cats. In my free time (when I can find some) I write, read, dabble in painting miniatures and photography, listen to lots of different music and play too many computer games.
Peace, and enjoy.
