Stumbling across this small hut in the Elfwood, you find it to be much smaller than most other dwellings in this forest. Constructed entirely of stone except the iron door this hut is not large enough to accommodate neither human nor elf. Knocking on the door rewards you with nothing but a hollow echo from within the stone structure. You knock again with the same results. Grasping the door’s rusty iron ring you open it with a loud creek. Stepping inside you notice the interior smells of damp earth and the sound of dripping water echoes through your ears. Blackness greets your eyes but ever so slowly a stone staircase appears from the shadowy gloom. Spiraling down into the earth you follow the stairway, your footfalls echoing through the chamber. The base of the stairwell ends in a small round room hewn from the bedrock beneath the Elfwood. To your right a narrow passageway cut from the rock leads toward a flickering red light. Following the hall you soon find yourself in a cavern lit by a small fire. Upon entering this cave you are greeted by a short figure as he looks up at you from his work. “Whit kin ah dae fur ye?” the stout figure asks in a gruff voice, “Cam tae seh tha artwerk huv ye?” You nod in agreement and the short individual opens a door in the back of the room. After passing through the doorway he closes the door behind you with a resounding boom, leaving you alone in another fire lit chamber…
