Third Prince Nezha is a popular character from the Taoist pantheon. According to Chinese mythology, Nezha took his own life after his murder of a dragon prince brought trouble to his family. His teacher, the sage Taiyi, called Nezha's spirit back into a new body made from parts of the lotus plant.
