This is a project I did with my boyfriend who is Russian, so I decieded to add a Russian accent and change Santa into Granpa Frost :D As we've learned, first he was a personification of the Frost, and evil spirit, that kidnapped children and put them into a sack. To get one's kid back, you had to give Grandpa Frost a present. Later he's been changed into nice equivalent of Santa. Here he's wearing a typical russian hat (ushanka) and felt-made boots (valenki). We did the sketching and colouring together and it was real fun! :) I have his full permission to post the card here. The cats are our representations (of course I'm the one with the pink ribbon and he's the tabby ;)). Medium: pencil and coloured pencils. Also white watercolour pencil for the stars.
