The circle of life

Bad shot, I know. I'm not very skilled with the camera. But I just had to show this! Well, actually, I do not have a good title for this. It's the biggest painting-project I've ever done so far. It took me some time until I had the courage to start and then several months to finish it. It did not exactly come out the way I wanted it, but much better than I expected! So I'm really happy about it. It's full of symbols and those being a bit into paganism and witchcraft will surely recognise some things. The figures are the three aspects of the goddess: Old woman, Mother and young girl. The guy to the left who looks like a girl is the green man, on the other side another incarnation of the pagan god as the bringer of life. behind the whole scene I put a pentagramme, symbol of the five elements and of the human being, represented by the girl in the middle of the circle. She's not an angel, the wings represent our soul that can make us fly away. The weird round thing on the top of it all is the moon.I used acryl paint (I just went into a do-it-yourself shop and bought some tins...) on a wooden board. It was my first time ever with these mediums. somehow I liked it, but I guess I'm just too lazy to use it more than once year... ;o)
