The plains dragons are found most frequently around the Highland Mountain Chain that stretches several hundred miles. They tend to be more robust than other species of dragon and have stubbier tails. They lay clutches of eggs only once a year, in the spring or summer. They range in shades of yellow, gold and dark brown and lighten or darken with the changing seasons. They are unable to breath fire and instead can cause massive wind storms with their deep roars. The females tend to be flashier than the males, having facial horns and "eye patches."
